The Stroke Association is the charity partner of The Nation on Trial.
Why are we supporting them?
Every five minutes, someone in the UK will have a stroke. It is the UK’s third biggest killer and the leading cause of severe adult disability yet it is one of the least recognised and understood conditions out there.
Rowing can help reduce the risks of stroke as part of a healthy lifestyle.
What does The Stroke Association do?
The Stroke Association provides support for survivors and their families as well as funding vital medical research.
For the past four years The Stroke Association has teamed up with the GB Rowing Team’s high-performance partner Siemens to run the Stroke for Stroke campaign to raise money for the charity and to get people rowing to stay fit and healthy.
